Plagueclaw Catapult
From Warhammer - The Old World - Lexicanum
A Plagueclaw Catapult is a skaven Clan Pestilens warmachine. [1]
History
Following the Second Skaven Civil War, with the help of Clan Skryre the clan was able to replace the crude catapults it had used previously with great wheeled scaffold-towers bearing catapults. [1]
Notable
- Virulent Batteries: One of Pestilens’ most devastating assets, they consist of thirteen batteries of three plagueclaw catapults each and have destroyed dwarf mountain fortresses, lair-dens of rival clans and shattered the wooden palisades of the greenskins.
Weapon
The Plagueclaw is able to launch loathsome missiles made from disease-soaked corpses, poison and foul magic - these cover their unfortunate targets with a toxic liquid that causes skin to slough off even as the flesh erupts in sores, armour is no protection against such a weapon. It is crewed by Plague Monks [1]
